KidSport^TM

KidSport^TM is a national organization that brings sport and needy kids together - So ALL Kids Can Play!  It is designed to help children facing financial obstacles to participate in community sport programs.

KidSport™ was developed in 1993 by Sport B.C. and has since grown to include Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island and the Northwest Territories. KidSport™ NWT is governed by a volunteer committee that is responsible for the overall policy and operations of the program in the territory.

All funds are used to help NWT children 18 and under reach their potential. KidSport^TM clears the way for kids to get involved by providing support for registration fees, community programs, and by making sure they've got the equipment they need. The amound of funding available is based on fundraising initiatives and will vary from year to year.

Money is raised through contributions by the corporate sector, as well as through special activities and events, in order to help pay for programs and offset registration fees so that all children can play.
