BNWT SuperCamp

April 4, 2016 (Yellowknife, NT) – Basketball NWT (BNWT) would like to formally announce the finalization of the SuperCamp happening April 8th-10th in Yellowknife.  The SuperCamp is by invite only and will be used to identify traveling teams in preparation for the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg. 

Graeme Ryder, head coach of the Grande Prairie Wolves will be the head facilitator for the SuperCamp. Ryder is a Yellowknife Alum, he played for team NWT at the Arctic Winter Games, Western Canada Games and Nationals before moving on to play four years at Grande Prairie College. He joined the Wolves coaching staff for the 2012/2013 season as an assistant coach prior to taking over the head coaching duties this past season. Ryder also worked with Alberta provincial teams at the 2014 Alberta Summer Games and the 2015 gold medal winning U16 Alberta Girls team.  He has coached Team Alberta at the National Championships both with girls (2015) and this years U16 boys team. 

BNWT is thrilled to welcome back one of our own to work with our high performance athletes "It’s always exciting to bring back past players to share their knowledge of the game. I know the athletes will learn a lot from previous High performance standout Graeme Ryder. " stated BNWT President, Damien Healy.
