YELLOWKNIFE, NT – April 7th, 2015 Peterson & Auger are joining forces with KidSport NWT to host the 63rd Annual Petersen & Auger Golf Tournament Fundraiser on May 29th, hosted by the Yellowknife Golf Club.
KidSport provides financial assistance to kids from financially strapped families so that they may participate in the sport of their choice.
Event Chair, Roger Walker indicated “I am extremely pleased with the prospect of having this event raise funds for KidSport NWT to assist financially disadvantaged l NWT Youth over the next five years”. The Aboriginal Sport Circle of the NWT and the Sport North Federation will be working together to organize the event. “We are very happy to be partnering with the Aboriginal Sport Circle of the NWT and Petersen Auger in raising funds for our #1 charity, KidSport NWT” stated Sport North President Maureen Miller. ASCNWT Executive Director Greg Hopf stated “I believe that this gives us an opportunity to address an increasing need to assist financially disadvantaged families in the NWT to have their kids participate in the sport of their choice and derive the benefits that sport brings”.
