We at Sport North would like to inform the public that Les Skinner has resigned as President of the Sport North Federation.
Les has accepted the position of NWT private sector representative with the Arctic Winter Games International Committee (AWGIC).
The AWGIC previously advised Sport North that Directors of Sport Organizations funded by the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs (MACA) are not eligible to sit on the AWGIC.
Les’ dedication and devotion to the Sport North Staff, Board & Membership will be dearly missed, and we wish him the best of Luck in his new position.
As of today; Sport North Federation’s Vice President – Colin Pybus – will step into the role as President.
