Sport North Federation’s Board of Directors and Staff conducted its quarterly Board Meeting in Inuvik April 14-16.

While the Board carried on the regular business items of the Federation, the focus of the meeting was to develop the framework for the 2023-2028 Strategic Plan.

“The Federation is in its final year of our Strategic Plan and the time together was very beneficial in preparing for the next five years” stated President Colin Pybus.

The Territorial Sport Organizations (TSO’s) will be able to provide input to the plan by way of a survey that will be coming out soon.

Bill Othmer – Sport North’s Executive Director – indicated that “Everything we do must be in the best interest of our membership (the TSO’s). We’re looking forward to receiving their input to provide direction of Sport in the NWT, for the next five years.

After TSOs have had their chance for input, the finished Strategic Plan will be presented to the Membership at the Sport North AGM “. 

The AGM will be held at the Chateau Nova Hotel, Saturday, May 27th  starting at 1:00pm. TSOs and other Federation members are reminded to identify their delegates and to watch for a call for nominations to open positions with the SNF Board.
