WHY DO YOU COACH:

I coach because I grew up one of the only Aboriginal athletes playing elite soccer in Alberta. I always struggled with my Aboriginal identity in sport and want to support other Aboriginal athletes so that they don’t feel as lonely as I did. I love seeing them grow and experience success, and inspire their peers to be active as well.

WHAT IS YOUR COACHING PHILOSOPHY:

Every youth has the potential to make incredible impacts as role models, and it’s my job to help them and that within themselves. Success in sport isn’t always about winning on the playing field, but inspiring those around you in all areas of life.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST COACHING POSITION:

Assistant coach with a U12 soccer team for Scottish United soccer club, as well as an assistant goalkeeper coach.

WHO INSPIRES YOU:

The coaches who saw my potential and supported me through all of my ups and downs as both a player and a coach; Krista Gavin and Jennifer Jubinville
