A New sport administrator for NWT Amateur Speed Skating Association

Yellowknife, NT (October 15, 2013) - NWT Amateur Speed Skating Association is pleased to introduce their new sport administrator, Jill Gilday. 

Jill holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from University of Calgary and has experience in health promotions and youth empowerment.  She has been involved in NWT sports for many years, attending multiple Canada Winter Games and Arctic Winter Games.  A former national level speed skater, Jill's volunteer experience includes the international youth organization Impossible to Possible (i2P), Calgary programs such as Skate Like a Girl and Special Olympics floor hockey as well as coaching with the Yellowknife Speed Skating club.  Jill's knowledge and experience of the sport of speed skating and the NWT sport system will be a great asset to the further development of speed skating in the north.   Jill will assume her new position effective October 11.
