Yellowknife, NT (January 19, 2016) - Just shy of 50 days from the opening ceremonies at the 2016 Arctic Winter Games, Team NWT is pleased to announce the Team NWT Mission Staff who will lead our NWT athletes, coaches and managers at the Games taking place from March 6 - 11, 2016 in Nuuk, Greenland.
Team NWT Chef de Mission, Doug Rentmeister said "I'm excited to work with very energetic and committed team of community volunteers, who are all committed to supporting Team NWT's athletes, coaches and managers at these games. This commitment will contribute to the success Team NWT will have at the Games as we strive to obtain medals and the Hodgson Trophy this March in Nuuk."
"We had over 80 candidates to select from and we were impressed with the number of qualified candidates across the NWT. With a good mix of skills and experience, we feel that we selected one of the best Mission Staff teams possible for our team in Nuuk," stated Rentmeister. "I am delighted to lead such a wonderful group of volunteers. We have a history of selecting top notch Mission Staff and I can see this team will only exceed our expectations and provide exceptional service to our team in Nuuk."
Mission Staff is the team behind Team NWT, ensuring that all needs of our athletes, coaches and managers, while liaising with the host society and Team NWT. Mission Staff allows for our team to concentrate on competition, while all the administration is covered by the staff.
